Time keeping
-
Start Time is 9.30am. I always like to see our assistants turn up early
-
Breaks - You have 2 x 15 minute breaks during the day. 10.30am and 12.30pm
-
Camp Finishes at 3pm but you finish at 2pm.

On Monday it is best to be there at 9am to get settled in.
Duties
​Working as a Camp Assistant means working as part of the Rockjam team of Coaches. Your main duty is to assist the Manager, but also the Coaches who will need you to get equipment for them, or watch over their class while they step out.

Here is a typical breakdown of your work
​
9.30am - Open up, tidy ensemble rooms, welcome in students
10am - Take roll - Let manager know of any absences.
10.30am - 15 min break
10.45am - Help set up Workshop
11am - Help with workshop
11.30am - Mind children during lunch (***This is a key role)
12pm - Set up Tuck Shop (Make sure Tuck shop is well maintained, tidy and put safely away)
12.30pm - 15 min break
12.45pm - Help set up Workshop
1.45pm - Mind children during small break
2pm - Finish
Above all else, represent Rockjam well. Be friendly, helpful and caring towards our Students at all times. Never use inappropriate language or behaviour around children. If you see anything unsuitable, dangerous or any bad behaviour you must notify the camp manager.
Wear your uniform every day, ask lots of questions and bring your own ideas to the job.

Lunch
Your job is to help mind the children during break time. Make sure everyone is happy and not alone. Do not allow any rough/ disrespectful behaviour. Do not allow any children to wander off out of line of sight. You must not be on your phone during lunch time

Take All children (except Teens) to lunch area.

Supervise all Children at all times.

If a young child needs to go to the toilet, ask a Teacher to take them.

Talk to each group.
-
If you see anyone alone, bring them to sit with their band and start a conversation to help them integrate.

Take out tuck shop

Do not leave children unsupervised while you do this
Additional

Each location is different and will have some unique requirements. Your Manager will give you additional tasks depending on how they run their location.
Pay
-
You will be paid at the end of the month as part of Rockjam Payroll.

Pay rate is €9.45 per hour
-
You will work 4 hours per day, 20 hours per week.
-
Weekly pay for 20 hours is €189.00.

Tax - Rockjam pays €16.82 Prsi Tax on your behalf.

Tax - If you set up your myaccount.ie details with revenue and allocate your tax credits to Rockjam LTD 3608491PH you will pay no tax. If you don't do this, you will pay up to 50% tax!

Make sure you have given us your details so we can pay you on time.

Go onto myaccount.ie revenue and set up Rockjam on your account so you don't pay emergency tax.
