Drum Shorts Mid Term Camp 2023
4 day Camp
Location: Newpark Music Centre, Blackrock. 
Dates: Oct 31 - Nov 3
Times:  9.30am to 12.30pm
Ages: 8 -12years

Learn drum kit, Percussion skills, Latin Rhythms, beatboxing, body percussion, and explore contemporary drum styles like rock, punk, metal and electronic.

The workshop will centre around the drum circle, where we learn how important rhythm and pulse is. Led by Drum Shorts Sebastian Jezzi and joined by special guests the students will take part in Drums stick workouts, melodic percussion songs and soloing forming the basis of our final day where we will perform for parents. 


Suitable for ages 8 - 12. No experience necessary, but the workshop will benefit all levels of ability. We will supply all equipment needed, but students are welcome to bring their own drum sticks, percussion instruments or cymbals.

Sebastian Jezzi is a very experienced Music Educator who has worked with Rockjam for the last 9 years. He has taught drums and percussion to schools, clubs and camps across Dublin. Sebastian is from Argentina and is an expert in South American Rhythms as well as a Degree in Jazz Performance. He has toured and recorded extensively with a wide range of bands. He specialises in teaching young musicians and his Drum Shorts Programme has encouraged children across Ireland to take up the drums.
